Studio Merlin is a RIBA chartered architecture and interior design practice based in Stoke Newington, London, creating concept-led buildings and spaces with character and personality.

Founded in 2023 by architect Josh Piddock, the Hackney-based studio is driven by a passion for playfully conceived, finely crafted and highly functional design.

We believe in turning ideas into value - maximising the potential of every project through bold concepts, thoughtful iteration and meticulous attention to detail.

Josh has led significant projects including the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Walworth Town Hall into a workplace hub for General Projects (while at Feix&Merlin Architects), as well as delivering hotels, restaurants, and housing schemes during his time at Project Orange.

Studio Merlin’s strength lies in clear communication, creative collaboration and careful realisation. We work closely with clients and project partners in a personable yet professional manner - bringing visions to life.
