Walworth Town Hall
Walworth Town Hall is a £25m GDV 50,000sqft workspace / community hub for General Projects, completed by Feix&Merlin Architects.
Studio Merlin Director Josh Piddock was the Project Architect whilst at the practice between 2019-2023, working closely with Julia Feix and Tarek Merlin. Josh led the design team, transforming the Grade II listed, fire damaged building into a vibrant new landmark.
The project is one of the first examples in the UK to use an innovative mass timber approach within a listed building setting. Since reopening to the public in 2024, it has been recognised with Civic Trust and AJ Retrofit & Reuse awards, amongst others.
