Based in Stoke Newington, Studio Merlin is a North London architecture and interior design practice. We work on residential and commercial projects across the area, from Highbury and Crouch End to Kentish Town, Muswell Hill, Hampstead and Highgate.

North London is full of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, converted flats, mansion blocks and the odd leftover plot of land. That means the projects vary widely: a side-return extension in Tufnell Park, a loft conversion near Highbury Fields, a flat refurbishment near Clissold Park, or a feasibility study for a new-build home on a backland site, garden or garages.

Every North London borough has its own planning policies, design guides and conservation areas. We've submitted and gained approval for a significant number of schemes locally, and we know what each planning department looks for.
